Kids Who Cha Cha brings ballroom dance lessons, showcases, and competitions to ALL Baltimore City students
Kids Who Cha Cha is a charitable organization (currently filing for 501(c)(3) status) whose purpose is to bring the joy of ballroom dancing to all Baltimore City students regardless of financial or transportation challenges. Kids Who Cha Cha seeks to partner with private schools in Baltimore to connect world-class facilities with internationally renowned professional ballroom dance teachers to provide an unparalleled dance and life experience!
Kids who Cha Cha began as an idea by 12 year old Cameron Piel for his bar mitzvah project. He spoke to his dance teacher Anna about creating a charity to help kids in Baltimore City learn to ballroom dance and participate in competitions. Anna was thrilled to get started. Cameron is currently scheduling meetings with the administration at Calvert School and Chizuk Amuno for space for lessons and future competitions. Cameron is also raising money to pay for lessons, transportation, judges and trophies.
In addition to organizing Kids Who Cha Cha and working with his teachers, parents, and school administrators to bring his vision to life, Cameron is raising money to fund the programming of Kids Who Cha Cha. All money raised will go towards ballroom dance lessons, transportation, fees and dance attire for kids.
